Assignment 2- Ruggedized Product Design
Guidelines- Design a ruggedized computer, with either matching ruggedized phone, or ruggedized back pack for display in the 2013 market.
(Do not get off track and design a computer for painting, a back pack for climbing, or a phone backpack with computer all in one device. Stay on track. Do not deign a ruggedized slip on plastic cover that does not meet military ruggedized standards.)

-We re trying to speed up our workflow process by shortening our phases/steps-
Step 1. Pick a brand- Dell, Apple, HP, Samsung, Toshiba, Acer, etc.
Step 2. Gather reference for your brand, establish current trends in design, and style choices already established by that brand
Step 3. Develop a concept that unites your computer design sensibilities, with the cel phone/back pack choice. Please note that some brands do not make cel phones. Perhaps they are expanding ?
Step 4. Develop sketches and a design theory that makes your design choices interesting, and concise. Start with side view sketches, that lead you into 3/4 view sketches. Consider gathering more reference as you work, looking at natures solutions for protective coverings. Ie- turtle shells, sea shells, reptile skin, insect exoskeletons, etc.
Think outside the box. Go for something new, and interesting.
Step 5. Arrange all your work into a final presentation. Please consider demonstrating samples of your product being exposed to the elements.
See the reference below.
